A Faculty Program of Reflection and Renewal
Teaching in Community is taking a break for the 2017-18 academic year.
Should you wish further information about this program please contact Anna Natoli.
Teaching is often an isolating experience. Teaching in Community (TIC) is a program that provides you with a time and place where you can step outside the classroom connect with colleagues and engage in a process of reflection and renewal.
The purpose of Teaching in Community is to encourage and support faculty to creatively explore, experiment with and reflect on teaching and learning.
This program draws on the work of Dr. Parker Palmer (The Courage to Teach) and Stephen Brookfield (Becoming a Critically Reflective Teacher). Additional materials and articles, including those suggested by the participants, will be used. This program is supported by the Centre for Academic & Faculty Enrichment (C.A.F.E.).
